Grounds Restoration at the Smith/deZafra House

The Smith/deZafra House, at 55 Main Street in Setauket, is one of the oldest homes in the Three Village community. Dating back to the late 1600’s, this “House on the Hill” served as Brookhaven Town’s original Town Hall and was the home to distinguished Patriots during the Revolutionary War.

Beginning in December 2022 the Three Village Community Trust began the restoration of the grounds of this iconic property – removing storm damaged trees, removing an abandoned pool and chain-link fence, stabilizing the garage structure, re-grading the steep driveway, etc.
