Our November Photo-Letter

We know you are busy, so rather than sending you a newsletter, please take a look at our new ‘photo-letter’ to keep you informed and up-to-date on your Trust.

The Trust and the Stony Brook Train Station Beautification Project!

For the past two years, the Trust has been spearheading the Stony Brook Train Station Beautification Project. In the important effort to revitalize the station’s grounds, the Trust has built a coalition with the North Suffolk Garden Club, the Three Village Civics Association, the Three Village Chamber of Commerce, the Three Village Rotary, the Three Village Historical Society, The Stony Brook School and the office of Brookhaven Town Councilman Jonathan Kornreich.

On Saturday, October 5th, the Annual Fall Cleanup at the station was a big success. Special thanks to artist Michael Rosengard, who reimagined and redesigned one of the station’s larger beds!

Our Station leaders include: Doug Reuter, Emily Riley, Rebecca Kassay, Frannces Pistell, Steve Antos, Chris Sokol, and Jessica Battani.

Here are some photos from the Project! It takes a TEAM!

Yes, the work continues at the Factory House!

You can see the installation of new wallboard in the photo below. We continue to make substantial progress in restoring the Immigrant Worker Factory Houses! Your membership dues and donations have made this restoration project possible. Thank you!

Please!  Don’t Wait Another Day!  Be Part of our Fall Gala!

The Three Village Community Trust is hosting its 20th Annual Fall Gala on Wednesday, November 13th at the Old Field Club. The Fall Gala is the Trust’s most important source of funding to “Protect the Places You Love.”  As an all-volunteer, not for profit we depend on the Gala to support our projects throughout the upcoming year. Please Join Us!

This year’s special guest is the renowned Dr. Heather Lynch – the inaugural director of the Collaborative for the Earth at Stony Brook University.
